In the run up to Fair Christmas Fayre 2016 (just less than a month away!) we are going to introduce some of our fabulous stallholders to you.
First up, we hear from Pete Barker of Ethical Angora…
What will you be selling at Fair Christmas Fayre this year?
We will be selling our range of ethical Angora knitwear, from wrist-warmers to luxury capes. Our beautifully warm and soft beanies are a favourite.
Why did you want to trade at the Fair Christmas Fayre?
We are looking forward to being at the Fair Christmas Fayre because Fair Trade is also about fairness to the planet and the animals that share it with us. All our angora yarn come from our own rabbits so we know they are well cared for, treated with kindness and in no way harmed when we shear their coats for the fibre. We live with our bunnies on a smallholding run only on renewable energy in rural mid Wales.
What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
Christmas is a time out from the year ’round routine, a time to think of others, friends and family. Time to eat, drink and be merry!
What is your best Christmas cracker joke?
What is the best Christmas present in the world? A broken drum – you just can’t beat it!
